Downtown Reno Business Improvement District (BID) Board of Directors Application

The proposed Downtown Reno Business Improvement District (BID) is a special taxing district encompassing the core of the downtown Reno area.  The Downtown Reno Business Improvement district will be governed by a Board of Directors comprised of private and public representatives.  Pursuant to a recommendation by the Progressive Urban Management Alliance (PUMA), a Formation and Nominating committee has been organized to facilitate the initial organization of the downtown management organization.  Committee members are volunteers with a broad range of interests and backgrounds connected to the core area of downtown Reno. The initial Directors shall be elected by the Formation and Nominating Committee.  Thereafter, Directors shall be elected or appointed by the Board from a slate nominated by the Executive Committee, and the Board may provide the Executive Committee with any guidance it may have to facilitate the consideration of potential new Directors.

The Board of Directors will be comprised of persons representing various geographic and business interests, described below.  Applicants may qualify for multiple positions, but may only hold one seat and are asked to check all positions that they qualify and for which they seek to apply.
